Dr. EddyDr. Chicory Eddy, DVM

Dr. Chicory Eddy was born and raised in Laval, Quebec, Canada. She completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at McGill University in Montreal before attending veterinary school.  She received her veterinary degree (DVM) at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island in Eastern Canada.  After graduating in the spring of 1998, she drove across the continent to Juneau, Alaska to begin her career.  She spent 8 years at the Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center.  Although Juneau was a nice place to live, the geographic isolation finally got to her and in 2006 she relocated to Oregon to pursue her passions - dog sports and gardening.  She joined the AMC staff in the summer of 2007.  Dr. Eddy’s special interests at work include internal medicine, preventive medicine, and anything relating to the world of dog sports.

Dr. Eddy is the proud owner of 3 wonderful dogs (two Collie mixes and an Australian Shepherd mix, all rescues) and is heavily involved in dog sports.  All three dogs have multiple Obedience and Rally Obedience titles and the youngest dog is competing at the highest level of Obedience.  The older two dogs are competing at the highest levels of Agility, the youngest just started his Agility career late in 2006 and already has earned many titles.  All three dogs are also Certified Canine Good Citizens and Therapy Dogs.  Dr. Eddy also shares her home with one cat and a 20 year old Blue Fronted Amazon parrot.
